Marantz Cinema 60 - 7.2 Channel 8K AV Receiver

Marantz Cinema 60 for 7.2-Channel 8K Home Theater

The Marantz Cinema 60 is a 7.2-channel AV receiver for buyers building a serious TV and speaker setup without moving to a larger multi-channel processor. It combines 8K video support, HEOS built-in streaming, and Marantz’s own sound-tuning approach for living rooms and dedicated home theater spaces.

7.2 Channels with 100W Output

This model supports 7.2-channel playback and is rated at 100 watts per channel in the 8 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2-channel drive specification. That makes it a practical fit when you want surround sound with room for subwoofers, while staying within a classic receiver layout.

6 HDMI Inputs and 8K Video

The Cinema 60 includes 6 HDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs, with 3 of the inputs supporting 8K. It also supports 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz pass-through, plus HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR, and HLG.

Streaming and Multi-Room Control

HEOS built-in gives you access to network streaming and whole-home control through compatible apps. The official feature set also lists Bluetooth, AirPlay, and support for services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Amazon Music HD, Deezer, Qobuz, and TuneIn.

Room Correction for Setup Flexibility

Marantz lists Audyssey MultEQ room correction on this model, along with Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume. That can help fine-tune speaker balance in real rooms where furniture placement and wall reflections affect sound.

Compatibility and Buying Check

The Cinema 60 is a good match if you want an AV receiver with HDMI 2.1-era video support, eARC, and a straightforward 7.2-channel layout. It also includes a phono (MM) input, USB-A front input, and speaker terminals for a conventional home-theater wiring setup.

For shoppers comparing Marantz models, the main decision point here is channel count and power versus the larger Cinema 40 and Cinema 50 options listed by Marantz. If you do not need those extra channels, this model keeps the setup simpler while still covering modern TV and streaming use.
